The “MeToo movement” began to spread virally in October 2017 as hashtag (#METOO) used on social media to help demonstrate the widespread prevalence of sexual assault and harassment, especially in the workplace. The phrase has been posted online millions of times, often with an accompanying personal story of sexual harassment or assault. We believe there are many women in our community who have been victims of this type of predatory behavior both in and out of the workplace.
In the wake of so much controversy about the #METOO movement, God impressed upon the heart of one of the ministers at New Zion Tabernacle to convene in a #METOO, BUT JESUS Women’s Conference in order to present the women of our community with an alternative to the secular view about #METOO. Our purpose is to offer women who are victims of sexual assault, harassment, or abuse God’s plan and strategy for their healing. We are planning to have workshops with speakers who have experienced this type of predatory behavior but found emotional and spiritual healing through their relationship with Jesus.
Therefore, we cordially extend an invitation to the women of your church or business to join us as we unite to hear a message from God through His servants about healing from wounds inflicted by sexual harassment or assault. The conference will be held on Friday, November 2, 7:00 pm and Saturday Nov 3rd, 9:00 am, at New Zion Tabernacle Ministries located at 120 Patrick Drive Ft Walton Beach FL, 32547.
The conference is free, but you must register to attend. You may register online at www.eventbrite.com. Conduct a search for "mtbj" to find the conference registration page. We need you to register in advance since we are providing lunch on Saturday.
